5  Apple Dumplings

 

These easy-to-make apple dumplings are a delightful dessert, with a flaky crescent roll crust, sweet apple filling, and a rich, buttery sauce.

 

Ingredients:

Refrigerated crescent rolls (2 cans, 8 oz each) 2

Apple pie filling (20 oz can) 1

Unsalted butter (1 cup, 2 sticks) 1

Brown sugar (1 cup) 1

Lemon-lime soda (12 oz can) 1

 

Instructions:

Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Prepare crescent rolls: Separate crescent roll dough into triangles.

Fill crescent rolls: Place apple pie filling in the center of each triangle.

Roll up dumplings: Roll up crescent rolls, pinch edges to seal. Place in baking dish.

Make sauce: Melt butter, add brown sugar, whisk until combined.

Pour sauce: Pour sauce over dumplings.

Add soda: Pour lemon-lime soda around the edges of the baking dish.

Bake: Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and sauce is bubbly.
